PeakHaus Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how PeakHaus ("PeakHaus," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information in connection with the mobile and web applications we publish, including StackTrackr, RepRoll, and any other apps distributed under the PeakHaus brand (each, an "App," and collectively, the "Apps"). By downloading, installing, or using any App, you acknowledge the practices described below.

1. Scope

This policy applies to all users of the Apps and to interactions you have with us through the Apps, our websites, or our support channels. Each App may offer different features, so the specific categories of data collected will vary by App. Where an App's in-App disclosures provide more detail, those disclosures supplement (but do not replace) this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in three general ways: information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information from optional integrations you choose to enable.

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

  • Account Information. Name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign in with Apple, we receive only the identifiers Apple shares based on your preferences.
  • Profile and Preferences. Display name, settings, and configuration choices you make inside the App.
  • User Content. Entries, logs, records, notes, routines, protocols, inventories, and other content you create or upload within an App.
  • Support Communications. Messages, email correspondence, and attachments you send to us for help or feedback.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information. Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers, language, and time zone.
  • Usage Data. Feature usage, screens viewed, session duration, and interaction events. Usage data is used in aggregate to improve the Apps and is not used to build advertising profiles.
  • Crash and Performance Data. Crash reports, error logs, stack traces, device state at the time of a crash, and performance metrics, used solely for diagnosing and fixing technical issues.
  • Log Data. Server-side logs when your device communicates with our backend, which may include IP addresses, request timestamps, and API endpoints accessed.

2.3 Information from Optional Integrations

Some Apps offer optional integrations that require your explicit authorization, such as Apple HealthKit or other platform health services. We access data from these integrations only to provide features you have enabled, process it as needed to deliver those features, and never use it for advertising or marketing. You can revoke access at any time through your device settings.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Apps and their features.
  • Personalize your experience and remember your preferences.
  • Diagnose bugs, improve performance, and develop new features.
  • Send service-related communications (such as reminders, alerts, and important updates).
  • Manage subscriptions, process purchases, and verify entitlements through the applicable app store.
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your personal data or user content to train machine learning models.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share information in these limited circumstances:

4.1 Service Providers

We work with trusted service providers that process data on our behalf, under contractual confidentiality and security obligations. These may include cloud hosting and database providers, error-monitoring services, analytics providers, subscription and payment management services, and authentication providers. Each provider receives only the information necessary to perform its function.

4.2 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required to comply with law, legal process, or governmental requests; to enforce our Terms of Service; to address fraud, security, or technical issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of PeakHaus, our users, or the public.

4.3 Business Transfers

If PeakHaus is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice of any such change through reasonable means.

4.4 With Your Consent

We may share information for other purposes with your explicit consent.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Apps. When you delete your account, we initiate deletion of your personal data from our active systems within 30 days. Some information may persist in encrypted backups for a limited period before being permanently removed. Crash logs, server logs, and similar operational data are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for security and debugging. Aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you may be retained indefinitely.

6. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest, access controls, and regular review of our practices. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a security breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

7. Your Rights and Choices

  • Access and Correction. You can access and update much of your information directly within the App's settings.
  • Account Deletion. You may delete your account from within the App or by contacting us at support@peakhaus.io. Account deletion is irreversible.
  • Data Export. Where supported by an App, you may export your data before deleting your account.
  • Notifications. You can manage push notification preferences within the App or through your device settings.
  • Integrations. You can revoke access to optional integrations (such as HealthKit) through your device's Settings app at any time.

7.1 California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights to know, delete, and correct personal information we hold about you, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

7.2 EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland (GDPR)

If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Our legal bases include performance of a contract, your consent, legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations.

7.3 Other Jurisdictions

We will honor the rights granted to you under any other applicable data protection laws to the extent required.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@peakhaus.io.

8. International Data Transfers

The Apps are operated from the United States. If you use the Apps from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws. Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Apps may contain links to third-party websites or services that we do not operate. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Please review their privacy policies separately.

10. Children's Privacy

The Apps are intended for users who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

11. Apple HealthKit Compliance

For Apps that integrate with Apple HealthKit: we do not use HealthKit data for advertising or marketing, do not sell HealthKit data, and do not disclose HealthKit data to third parties except as necessary to provide the health-related features you have enabled. HealthKit data is not stored in iCloud or any unsecured location. We request access only to the HealthKit categories needed for the features described in the App.

12. Notifications

Notifications sent by the Apps use generic messaging on the lock screen and do not include sensitive details. You can manage notification preferences in the App or through your device settings.

13. Do Not Track

The Apps do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, as there is no industry-accepted standard for how mobile applications should respond to such signals.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and provide notice through reasonable means. Your continued use of the Apps after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
